Mr. Clean Mr. Clean

And so you walk...and also, clean.

One of the funniest parenting moment's occurred yesterday afternoon (March 26th, 2012) when I had to run to the bathroom (sorry TMI). While in there I see the swifter (taller then you) go by then little ol' you carrying it around. It was hilarious. Today you grabbed the broom. It's so funny seeing you so confident carrying cleaning supplies that are so much taller then you. Always, a source of entertainment!

Walking the Walk

By God you've done it! On Sunday, March 25th, with months of holding our hands to get around, you took off! You took off on your own. The event unfolded earlier that morning. You were getting braver taking further steps on your own. First, from the TV to the couch then to the kitchen cabinet and back to the couch. I said to Dada "Whoa, maybe today is the day he will start walking around on his own..." We loved it! And voila, by evenings end you were a full fledged walker. You walked your way from the bedroom, through the family room into the end of the kitchen and back to the bedroom. You were so proud of yourself! We were beyond thrilled for you! Deft, one of the best moments this year. Truly and incredible fete! Hoo.Rah!

1st Haircut

(Before Getting Your Hairs Chopped)

What a day! Your hair was getting out of control. And although, Im hoping to grow your long it was time to get the bangs cut! They were covering your eyes and were not very cooperative allowing you to see so off they went!

We took you to Lulu's in Park Slope, Brooklyn. You love having your hair brushed so we told you we were stopping in to "brush your hair". You were fantastic! They put a movie in for you, you sat in a car with a wheel you were focused on manuevering while they chopped away.

They trimmed the back (much to dad's dismay) and did away with those bangs so you could see again! At the end of the session they rewarded you with a certificate and a lock of your dark hair. It was fun, thrilling and a bit chaotic!

And Voila! Looking good!

Itsy Bitsy Boy

Your favorite song since 2 months is Itsy Bitsy...I don't know why really as it is not a favorite of mine. You first heard it at baby yoga when you were 6 weeks old and it would be the only thing to stop you from crying. Still, we sign it daily at bedtime. You love "Out came the sun and dried up all the rain." and you twist and turn to indicate "drying up the rain". Its hilarious and soooo much fun to do!

All Done

One of the favorite things you've been telling us for a few months now is "Allllll DONE!" You sign it to us actually. It's adorable!

You Know You're a Parent When...

You are out with friends for their 30th birthday in a bar in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn (aka: currently the "coolest" neighborhood around) and dancing to the song "You're Sexy and You Know It" and signing along, but only knowing the lyrics to Sesame Streets version-"I'm Elmo and I know It"....Dad and I didn't know the words to the hip new song...But we sure as heck knew the words to the kids song...ha!

This is currently one of your favorite videos that we watch multiple times a day!

In the Hood

As life would have it time has not been on my side and I have not been able to make the time to update the Happy Daze we've been having together. Most recently you have left babyhood and entered boyhood! My gosh! Its so cliche to write/say how fast time goes and you wont really know until you have your own child what it really means. You are SO much fun right now! Dad and I are always saying that multiple times a day! Here's why:

Fun Guy:
1. You've learned to say NO by saying "Ne" (nay) and then laughing immediately after saying it and shaking your head.

2. You also say yes but like no more. When saying Yes you say "Ga" and shake your head up and down.

3. You say Olida for Oliver and I think you love Ollie the most! You give him lots of hugs and kisses on a daily basis...sometimes to his dispelasure.

4. You say "Aaaaa daaa" when blowing or giving kisses. You blow and give kisses to Luke (your favorite toy budy), Oliver the cat, me, dad, Gramsy, Gram, Pop, pictures of your friends and when you want to leave and say good bye you start giving lot's of kisses.

5. You love being chased and dad said being scared...LOL. Sometime I hide from you and JUMP out and you LOVE it! It's all while dad holds your hand and you try to find me. Then I chase you. You laugh and run and laugh some more.

6. You know all the charachters in your Sesame Street book. Dad just showed you them once and you remembered them all and can point them out.

7. You LOVE eating and right now your favorite food is-Quinoa, beans, bananas (first thing you want to eat everyday and you say Nana), chicken, carrots, apples, veggie stix.

8. You love your cousins and call Rosa "Doda" and you find such joy running or snugging with cousin May May!

9. You can walk on your own but still prefer holding mine and Dads hand. Just today you were making some moves on your own while playing with other bigger kids and we were so proud of your independance.

10. When asked "What's your name" you answered "Coco" for Rocco but you usually you answer by saying "Dada"..."Oh" we say, "Your name is Dada?" and you smile and say "Dada!"

11. You're really funny. And when Dad and I comment privately to one another on how funny we think you are...you'll over hear us and say something and then start laughing...as if to say "yeah, Im funny, listen..."

12. You have us put on a dino tattoo on your forarms daily. And if it is not there you point to the spot you want it and say "Uh!?" as if saying...where is it? Then when we are out on the playground our with friends you make sure to point out and show off your new tat! Love it!

Anyway, we are so grateful for the fun filled and busy days that come along with parenting! You are turning into such a wonderful little boy!
